Conquer Your Fear: Crochet a Shawl

Intimidated to take on your first crocheted shawl project? We'll get you going!

This is a shawl simple enough for new crocheters & fun enough to keep anyone interested. Use two solid colors for stripe blocks or choose a variegated or hand painted yarn for your own unique masterpiece!

Recommended yarns:
2 colors of Kelbourne Mojave & G hook (as in our sample)
Heritage Wave & D hook for a finer shawl with lots of color
Malabrigo Rios & H hook for a medium weight hand painted shawl

For all yarn choices, choose one - three  skeins depending on the size of shawl you'd like. This is a flexible pattern that you can make any size you fancy. You can use two different solid colors like our sample, or start with a colorful yarn and choose just one colorway.

Instructor Name:
Jessica Palumbo
Instructor Bio:
From Jessica: "I learned to crochet 8 years ago. I was inspired by a crocheted baby blanket my daughter received as a gift. My first project was a simple beanie, which I made and remade many times before getting it right. I gradually progressed from simple to more complex items. I have made a wide variety of different items, but my favorite things to make (and wear) are hats and cowls. As a mom of 3, my daily life is very busy, but I manage to find at least a few minutes to crochet almost every day."
Let Jessica inspire you and get you crocheting like a pro!
